Are You Low On Cash? Here Are Some Inexpensive Ways To Support Our Troops

Charity pick up

Do you think helping military families, soldiers, and veterans is out of the question? Too many Americans use money or busy schedules as an excuse. In reality, Americans from all different income levels and even Americans with limited amount of spare time can still make an incredible difference. School-age children shows how it’s done. One little girl’s letter to soldier begins: “Thanks for protecting our country. [You] must be very brave joining the military. They say a man looks handsome in uniform. My favorite food is chicken wings, and I like to hang out with my friends.”

Believe it or not, supporting our troops or making veterans donations can be just as simple. Here are some ways you can contribute with limited time and a modest income:

“You’ve Got A Friend In Me”

Sometimes, asking for help when is the most difficult things to do. Relieve tension and stress by proactively lending a hand military husbands or military wives. For example, one military mom suggests drawing coupons. One coupon may offer to babysit for a night; another may offer to help mow the lawn. Place your home coupons and gift baskets, and give them to military spouses on their birthdays, special occasions, and holidays.

How You Can Donate Clothes At Home

Many Americans do not realize that it is possible to donate clothing to charity without even leaving home. A growing number of charities pick up clothing donations, saving you the trip and the cost of gas. Others establish communal pick up locations. For instance, these charities may collect canned goods, clothing, and other items from public places, just schools, churches, office buildings, and grocery stores.

Supporting our troops -… or making veterans donations …- is not out of the question, no matter what your schedule or income looks like. Be a friend, or donate items without even leaving your home.
