It’s Time to Prepare for the Fall Semester Consider Enrolling Your Child in a Top Private School

Benefits of private school education

Have you recently moved to a new area? If your children have previously been enrolled in a private school, you are probably looking for another private school for them to attend. Since there are only a few months before the fall semester begins, you may also be searching for private summer camp opportunities for your children.

Since most private schools have less than 300 students, this makes a significant difference in the level of attention that your child will receive. The classes are also smaller, with 12.5 students for every teacher. Public schools, as you may be aware, tend to have 15.4 students for every teacher. On some public school campuses, there may be even more students assigned to each teacher.

If it’s important for you that your child attends a co-educational private school, you’ll be interested to know that 96% of all private schools were co-educational during the 2011 to 2012 school year. Just 2% of the nation’s private schools were either all-boy or all-girl.

Your children’s safety is important at private schools. The Fraser Institute conducted a study in 2007 that found 74% of its parent participants strongly agreed that their child’s private school was safe.

While parents choose to send their children to private schools for a variety of reasons, a strong academic curriculum is often at the top of the list. A recent survey showed that 80% of the parents whose children were in private schools were pleased with the level of academic standards. These include a variety of opportunities for enriching activities such as honors and athletics programs.

Have you noticed that private school teachers tend to be more dedicated to their students? The Fraser Institute study also found this to be true with 91% of the parents that completed their survey. Furthermore, these parents communicated that teacher dedication was their primary reason for sending their children to a private school. This includes private preschools up through private high schools.

Whether your children have previously attended private school, or you are considering the benefits of having them do so this fall, there are top private schools available close to you. When you contact the school to find out more about their programs, it’s also important to note that your children’s new school will encourage your involvement.
